Marketing Research Analyst – Entry Level
We are looking for an Entry Level Marketing Research Analyst to join our rapidly growing and funded company. With more than 35,000 Square Feet, our company is the largest Asian grocery store in Utah. It provides the largest selection of Asian foods, Asian snacks, Asian cooking ingredients, Asian tea, Asian vegetables, Asian cooking equipment, Asian gifts from all Asian countries.
Following the popularity of online shopping, our supermarket also initiated our APP platform for our customers to enjoy convenient online shopping of various groceries.
Our supermarket and APP platform enable Utah shoppers to find not only great foods and dry goods, but also a great variety of never-before-seen Asian products.
We were awarded the “City Weekly’s Best One-Stop Chinese Shopping” at the 26th Annual Best of Utah Awards in 2015.
THE POSITION
Our Marketing Research Analyst is mainly responsible for helping us in understanding our target market, making better business decisions to maintain and expand our market share, and to serve the customers better.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating and identifying our company’s position in the grocery stores & supermarkets industry through monitoring and forecasting market conditions & trends, as well as analyzing the prices, sales and marketing methods of both our company and competitors.
- Assessing the impact and performance of our existing marketing & sales programs, methods and strategies, and then developing solutions to ensure our company’s market penetration.
- Designing and developing a combination of traditional methods to collect market-related information and data from internal and external sources, such as interviews, questionnaires, focus groups, market analysis surveys, public opinion polls, literature reviews, and others.
- Gathering, compiling and analyzing data and information about consumers, competitors, market conditions & trends, consumer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to create forecasts and help optimize marketing efforts;
- Utilizing professional software, such as Excel, SQL, SAS, Minitab and SPSS, to develop and refine processes for data collection and analysis;
- Interpreting complex data and findings to determine pricing strategies, forecast future trends, and helping develop targeted marketing strategies and tactics;
- Presenting findings and results to our management through reports, charts, graphs, and other visual means, thereby enabling our company to make better-informed decisions about product introductions, modifications, and marketing campaigns;
- Communicating with the marketing, graphics, social media and other teams for providing knowledge of the targeted consumer and market, thereby enabling our company to develop advertising brochures and commercials, sales plans, product promotions and others.
Qualifications:
Education requirement: must have bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Social Science or a related field.
Experience: It is entry-level. No job experience is required. We are glad to train you.
Work authorization: Must have work authorization in the United State. If need, we also sponsor H-1B application.
